Part A:
Hospital Insurance

This health plan covers a range of essential services, including inpatient long-term care in hospitals, skilled nursing care in nursing homes for recovery and rehabilitation, hospice care for end-of-life support, and home health care for receiving medical services in the comfort of your own home.

Part B:
Medical Insurance

This plan covers services from doctors and other healthcare providers, outpatient mental health services, and home health care. It also includes durable medical equipment like wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, diabetic supplies, and more.

Additionally, it provides many preventive health services, including screenings, shots, vaccines, and annual visits.

Part C:
Medical Insurance

This plan includes coverage for both Part A and Part B, and many also offer prescription drug coverage (Part D) as well as additional benefits not available with Original Medicare, such as dental, vision, hearing, and more.

Medicare Part C, also known as Medicare Advantage (MA), consists of private insurance plans offered by Medicare providers like Humana, United Healthcare, Aetna, and others.

The prescription drug benefit is a key component of Medicare that covers most outpatient prescription drugs. Each Part D plan includes a formulary, which is a list of the drugs covered by that plan.

Additionally, Part D plans must cover most vaccines , although vaccines covered by Part B are an exception.
